Program
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was our guest. Sheriff Arpaio is completing his sixteenth year in the county’s top law enforcement position and is seeking a fifth term.
Prior to serving as Sheriff, Mr. Arpaio served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953, as a Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas, NV, police officer, as a federal narcotics agent, and with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
The Sheriff mentioned launching rehabilitative programs like “Hard Knocks High” (for jailed youth) and ALPHA (an anti-substance-abuse program) before engaging in a vigorous exposition of Tent City, chain gangs, and illegal immigration.
